Some of you may have not be notified that, due to a license matter of the font used on our logo, I haved to change it.
So, with further work I came up with this result.
Here is the last status of the Logo.
For now is declared finished.

Also I'm glad to say that I've used open source software to do it, here are the sources.

The colors and lighting  could be easily modified (with a little knowledge of blender), except for the topology of the letter, they were madded by hand, is not an automatic bevel/extrusion.

This work is licensed under cc-by-sa 3.0.
Except for textures, they have their own licenses specified in textures.license.

hm... while the rest of the text looks nice I really think that "w" is ugly.

As for me, your proposal on a black background looks better :) However, an epic background can be also added ;)
Btw, I think everything in game should be done in some general style, so the logo, ingame gui and everything else should fit each other.

I like the colour and overall style. But i also I second that the W is not nice. With the black background I could also image that some fire animation ingame might be really awesome ( just ideas, no specific plans here).

For coherence with gui look: as hiponboy works on this as well, ensuring consistent style should be not too hard :)

Hey the second one looks really good, but I'd make the W a bit more rounded on the edges.

And all of you are right, the W must be redone. =)

I hope that you feel that my proposal is going right.

I'll echo what the others have said: the W is ugly. Other than that, the bevels look completely off in places and I think that bright golden color and Roman style of the fonts makes it look like the logo for a historical stratgy game.

Here comes my refutation: As i usually do, this is just a part. Is the typographical identity, As for me, the romans characters are the only solutions for an epic story. It may symbolize a game like age of empires or age of mythology, because the concept that that type of fonts have inside is "aged", "old".

A roman character doesn't symbolize that it will be exactly a rpg or a rts game, It induces concepts.

So, the W isn't working, the squared form is more powerful to the eye than the rest of the text.
And they aren't working together, seems like two different things.

The logo is presented in black and white to see how it works in different spaces, and isn't a choice of what will be the background.

And thank you, for your observation.

Well, the existing logo also have something similar to romans characters (in my opinion, of course) so it is not a problem (again, in my opinion)

As for me, 'W' is good now, though I prefer a coloured version on the black background :)

I guess you should move the cut a bit higher and make it wider so it touches S too a little.

Maybe if you put it a bit higher it could represent the horizontal line from A.

Also now it goes through R in quite a bad way, it cuts through the most important part.. :-)

i agree with you

I don't know, cutting the middle of the R seems more clean to me.
