Title: Crypta Walls

Hello,

here a new model from oure modeling and texture master Psycho:

The walls of Mylons Krypta. Please ignore the top, it is not textured yet.

Version 1:

I like Version one with the stone basement the best. Please feel free to give any input.

If you want to use textures from cgtextures.com, you can't realease them open-source, even in modified form.

Anyway, I guess there could be some improvement, the texture of the stones is way too blurry compared to the lower part. Maybe each regular stone from the lower part could be extruded to give some detail. I believe that you are still using very simple geometry. ;-) Also the metal? part at the top would be too big for the stones below at the moment and sincerely, it doesn't make a lot of sense? :-(

the first plan i had  , was to put some statures at the place where the peaks are ( i give it up - becauce the poly count were  to high )

Yeah, the polycount seems to be really high.. It's all almost 300 triangles? :-)

Lets wait until the benchmark is out ;),

game performance comes definetly befor high poly models. No one has use of an game that is slow as hell.

Thanks a lot for the hint with the texture license. We will have to talk about that on the next meeting. If we could exclude the Textures from oure gpl license, it would be still possible to use it in the game.
